Adam was born c1590 in Annandale, Dumfrieshire, Scotland, About 1610 he arrived in Pettigo - a Fermanagh/Donegal border village. He had been granted territory confiscated from the Gaelic Chiefs and his descendants remained in Pettigo until 1922.
