I Samuel Lee of Lykins Township, Crawford County and State of Ohio do make and ordain this my last will and testament, in manner and form following vise I give and bequeath to my son, Abner Lee the West half of the East half of section #19 in Lykins Township Crawford County and State of Ohio containing 160 acres more or less. And I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Anna all my household goods her lifetime if she outlives me at both our decease I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza Brown $100 in household goods and furniture, all the rest of my moveable property I give and bequeath to my sons Alfred C. Lee, Vincent Lee, Stephen Lee and Arvin Lee each an equal portion. I give and bequeath to my son Palmer Lee $100 which is to be paid by Arvin Lee on consideration of the dowery already given him. I nominate constitute and appoint Alfred C. Lee, Vincent Lee, and Stephen Lee sole executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at anytime heretofore made. In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of November in the year of our Lord 1844. Signed Samuel Lee
Samuel's wife Anita Brown (Booth) Lee later died on Sept. 20, 1855 in Crawford County, Ohio and a will could not be found for her.
