Notes - From "The Algoma Advocate, Thessalon, Ontario" - Thursday, October 10, 1929 - SCHOOL FAIR FOR THESSALON AND LEFROY TOWNSHIP.
The Ontario Department of Agriculture held the annual school fair at Little Rapids School Friday, September 3rd, 1929. "All classes were well filled and the schoolhouse was overflowing with exhibits. This fair was perhaps the most successful to be held in this district this year in that the number of contestants was very high and the prize money divided among a large number of students."

Raymond Allen passed away at the Espanola General Hospital Friday, March 30, 1990 in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Gillian, Espanola. Loving father of Suzanne (Mrs Heath Falkingham) of Victoria, B.C; Jean and Peter both of Espanola.
Dear brother of Dean (wife Thelma), and Goldie (Mrs William Minion), both of Thessalon, Nora (Mrs William Jeffery) and Glen, both of Sault Ste Marie, and the late William. Resting at the Bourcier Funeral Home Espanola Monday evening April 2nd, 7-9 pm only. Funeral service from Espanola United Church Tuesday April 3rd, 1990 at 10 am Reverand Joseph Fellows officiating. Eulogy by Rev Eric Drakeford. Interment Maple Ridge Cemetery, Thessalon, Ontario. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
