  Mr Henry George Allen died at his home at St George's Crt, Toorak, yesterday, after a short illness. He was 68. Son of the founder of Richard Allen & Son Pty Ltd, he was associated with the firm for 50 years. He served on committees of the Royal Melbourne and Caulfield Convalescent hospitals, and was a member of leading metropolitan race clubs and the Athenaeum Club. Mr Allen is survived by a widow, 2 daughters and 3 sons.
