  Percy, Kitty & Marion Harvey immigrated in February 1906 (FAG) From Ancestry- MamaLock originally shared this on 07 jul 2011 Percy A Harvey Divorce Annie petitioned for divorce on the grounds of desertion, the requirement being that the period of desertion must be 3 years or more. It was stated that there was a boy, Reuben Arthur, aged 3 1/2 years. The petitioners statement was, "My husband deserted me immediately after we were married at Wollongong, over four years ago. I sued my said husband for maintenance in October 1891, and obtained an order for 1 pound per week. I got out a sencond order for 15/- a week in about Nov./Dec. 1892, an order he did not comply with. I got out a warrant for his arrest, which the police have been unable to serve. I have no knowledge as to my husbands whereabouts, and whether he is in this colony or not." At this time Annie resided at Gordon. ****** Rumors are that Reuben was not Percys' child (refer to marriage and birth dates) and he didn't want to raise another mans child, so he ran away to America. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
